Izvornik

Mozart's great concerti of 1784-1785 represent some of his most sublime music, and it was with this group of works that his 'mature' concerto style emerged. This concerto, completed late in 1785, was very successful at its premiere, and has remained one of Mozart's most popular to this day. While the opening and closing Allegromovements are filled with plenty of opportunities for the soloist to shine, it is the Andante that has brought this concerto its largest amount of fame. It was in this concerto that Mozart first dispensed with the oboes and used clarinets with their warm timbre. It was this movement which, on the work’s premiere, was repeated twice at the audience’s demand. The recording is performed by Iliana Todorova and the Plovidov Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Nayden Todorov. It includes two CDs with a full performance, an accompaniment only, and a -20% speed practice version.
