This is a delightful dance-like setting of this great text. The extensive organ part starts right off with a swinging figuration that permeates the entire piece. Miller sets the vocal parts in duets as well as powerful octaves that give a strength to the profile of this anthem. A more contemplative section is found in the middle at the text, "Quoniam confirmata est. " All the while, Miller provides wonderful opportunities for the organist to underline the text with subtle color changes. A return to the opening material at the "Gloria" and finally the opening text creates a festive ending. This is a brilliant anthem of praise for any festive occasion.
